WW Surveys was contracted to See Civil to provide FI/FO Project Survey coverage for their Aquila Coal Mine Overland Conveyor and infrastructure upgrade.
The Survey scope involved construction surveys for all Design to field calculations and design assessment, conveyor structural and civil works, monthly billable quantity reporting, periodic Drone flights and machine guidance support.
Brownfield development located within the Capcoal mining complex of the Anglo American Capcoal mine, near Middlemount, Central Queensland.
Scope of works included raising the Pit G area of the project by 3m for flood immunity and involved upgrading the current road into the Pit, installing drainage culverts, piling works, structures for the conveyor foundations, precast retaining walls, bulk earthworks and pavements.
The Overland Conveyor area involved bulk earthworks, pavements, piling, structures footings, and finishing works for the incoming contractor to install the conveyor mech and elec.
