Cross River Rail – Early Works / Tunnels & Stations Package

Project Details

Cross River Rail is a new rail line that stretches 10.2km from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills. This includes 5.9km of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD, with a portal at either end providing access into and out of the tunnels.

The project is delivering four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

Continuing our strong history with CPB Contractors, WW Surveys was awarded the early works survey package in August 2019 for the four underground stations and the Southern Tunnel Portal (in Dutton Park) and Northern Tunnel Portal (in Spring Hill).

We were tasked with setting up the project’s surface survey control network verification and intensification, site establishment construction works, monitoring setup, rail verification and service investigation and modelling.

We have brought together a high performing team on Queensland’s largest civil infrastructure project in history. We applied our skills in:

  • Construction surveying
  • Engineering design interrogation
  • BIM modelling
  • Laser scanning
  • Rail surveying
  • Monitoring
  • High accuracy control
  • Machine guidance
  • SUI modelling; and
  • Survey management.
